On the contrary, players can participate in the UWH League with their club teammates to create club teams according to the leagues (National Leagues, UWH European Tour, Themes Tournaments) and maximize their playing time and team spirit.

We hope that, in September, underwater hockey will start again very strongly. We truly believe in it.
If it does not happen as we planned, we will make sure to accommodate and preserve the interest of the players who believed in our project and who registered in the league. This can go as far as reimbursement of registrations.
Questions about teams
Do I register as a team or do I register individually ?
Registration for the UWH League is done individually.
A player can create or join a team depending on the competition (national leagues, UWH European Tour, and Themes Tournaments).
One team = One competition !
Can I participate in several competitions at the same time ?
Yes, you can ! The goal of the UWH League is to maximize your playing time.
So we encourage you to participate in as many competitions as possible!
Here is the organization according to the different competitions:

  • UWH National Leagues : a player can be part of a team per national tournament. For example, he can play with an A team in the French Open League and a B team in the British Open League

  • The UWH European Tour: a player can only be part of one team for this competition.

  • Themes Tournaments : for these competitions, players can form one team per tournament. A player will be able to create or join a team for the ‘Depth’ Theme Tournament and another team for the ‘U24’ Theme Tournament if he fulfills the participation conditions.

    UWH National Leagues
Do UWH National Leagues allow you to qualify for European tournaments ?
Only to the UWH Pro League. That's why we created the UWH Pro League, to bring together the winners of each national circuit on a weekend for a very high level competition.
The UWH European Tour is totally independent of the national circuits, there are no connections between these different competitions.
Do teams have to participate in all stages ?
No. A team qualifies for the UWH National League final when it finishes in the top two teams of a stage.
However, it is possible to participate in a round if you did not qualify or if you want to play again. In this case, you can try again to qualify and play the final.
If you finish in the top two of the UWH National League, you are qualified for the European grand final : the UWH Pro League.
What happens if there are too many teams for a stage ?
Priorities have been defined to ensure fair access to the teams :
First priority goes to teams that have not participated in any stage.
Then to the teams that have already played a stage but did not qualify for the final.
Finally, the teams that want to play another stage even though they have qualified in a previous stage.
How many teams per stage ?
The capacity of each competition is still to be defined but we expect a maximum of 16 teams per stage.
Are UWH National leagues only for players from the country ?
(For example, is the British Open League only for English players?)
No, as long as you register on the UWH League platform you can participate in any competition.
If I qualify for one of the National League finals, is there any help with accommodation ?
All travel and accommodation for teams that qualify for the final will be covered by More-Sport.
    UWH Pro League
    How do you participate ?

Can we participate without going through UWH National Leagues ?

All travel expenses and accommodation for the teams that qualify for the final will be covered.
